What Are the Best Tasting Choices When on the Medifast Diet?

I frequently get asked for recommendations about which foods are the best tasting on the medifast diet. People want to know which foods that they are going to like and which they should avoid when ordering their package. I've sampled most all of the foods over time and below, I'll tell you what I think are the best tasting choices on the medifast diet. I find that my opinion corresponds with that of many, but keep in mind every one's opinion (and taste buds) are different. The Best Tasting Medifast Breakfasts: I would daresay breakfast is my favorite meal on this diet. There's really not an option here that I don't like or won't eat. For a long time, the oatmeal was my favorite. I particularly like the blueberry and peach flavors. But recently, the diet introduced pancakes which have been a welcome addition to my routine. Of course, I prefer the chocolate chip but the regular is good too. The eggs are also quite good, but in general, I like carbs for my breakfast (even though these foods have been modified to be low carb.)I have to admit that I also really like cappuccino, latte, and hot chocolate. I have been known to mix them together to get a mocha flavored drink. These count as meals also, so I will generally have these as the morning time snack. But almost many of the snack type meals also work for breakfast (like the shakes, brownies, or bars.)Some Decent Tasting Medifast Lunches: I really like the chili for lunch. The chili is very flexible and can be used to make a lot of different meals. Believe it or not, I sometimes have the eggs made into a burrito for lunch. I like all of the soups except for the crab, but I've never been a fan of seafood. My favorite soup is the chicken noodle. I know a lot of people opt to have bars or shakes for lunch because it's just so easy to grab one on the go. And I do know people who chose to have lunch as their "lean and green meal" so they can eat out with their friends.Good Medifast Dinners: What you chose for dinner really depends on when you take your "lean and green meal." I believe that the majority of dieters on this plan do this meal at dinner. The reason for this is that doing so makes it easy to eat with your family. I basically just turn what my family is eating into a "lean and green" for myself so I don't have to cook two different meals. However, if you were having your lean and green at another time, you could do chili, a soup, shakes, bars, eggs, etc for your dinner and you would eat your larger, prepared meal at another time. The Best Tasting Medifast Snacks: Here's the thing to remember with the snacks. All of the foods are considered to be small meals so they really are interchangeable. And since you're asked to eat six times per day, you'll likely be eating a lot of the snack foods. My favorite under this category is the brownies. They are a wonderful new addition and I make frequent use of them. The pudding and the bars are nice too. And you can have the shakes at any time. I'm pretty sure that the shakes are the most popular food choice on medifast. And they are quite good. But there are other choices that are just as good. If you don't always want something sweet, there are pretzels and cheese puffs. But of these, I like the pretzels much better.

Music Publishing Times - They Are A-Changin'

Way back in 1963, Bob Dylan had been studying a newspaper. He settled back on his sofa. He picked out a few chords and hummed a pinch of a melody. He thought for a moment, then scribbled a phrase on a scrap of paper... The Times, They Are A-Changin'Those words are truer today than they were over 40 years ago. And nowhere as much as in the Music Business. In Dylan's days, back as far as the 50's and even in the 60's, Music Publishers would often sign talented Songwriters to deals that saw the Writer getting 10 or 20% - the Publisher pocketing 80 or 90%.As times went on, Music Lawyers and Attorneys started fighting for better deals for their clients. Songwriters began to wise up about the massive profits that could flood in from just one, simple 3-chord trick. So nowadays, a 50/50 split is more common. But The Times, They Are A-Changin'...Since the advent of the Songwriting Superstars, like Neil Diamond, Diane Warren, Prince, 50 Cent, Alannis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, Springsteen... the Money Pie is changing too. Songwriters with clout are no longer prepared to 'sell out' their Songs, their Copyrights, their Talent, for 50%. Some of the 'Big Names' are taking away 90%+. And the Music Publishers and Record Labels swallow it... why? Because they still make A WHOLE LOT of cash. And after all, 97% of Songwriters accept their 50/50 deal and they don't bother holding onto their Publishing and Copyrights...Music Publishers make mega money for years and years - but not all us Songwriters have the lifetime talents of the Lennon/McCartneys, Sedakas, Bon Jovis or the Ulvaeus/Anderssons of this world. (The ABBA guys.) So when you sign ANY Song Deal, you need to be sure to get the very best deal you can - and savvy Songwriters are increasingly not signing over all their Publishing and those valuable, lifetime Copyrights. So here's my point: it's getting a whole lot more common for Songwriters NOT to sign whatever terms a Music Publisher or Record Label slaps down on the table. Modern Songwriters are wising up Big Time and using a word that the Publishers and Labels prefer NOT to hear - 'Negotiation'.In fact, the Best-Case-Scenario is that the Publisher becomes a 'Co-Publisher' to the Songwriter's Publishing Company - so that the Songwriter owns his or her own Publishing, the Songwriter owns his or her own Songs, the Songwriter owns his or her own Copyrights; the Songwriter co-publishes with the Publishing Company and retains a bigger chunk to the profits - and up to 75% is not uncommon.Just take a look at the publishing credits on any CD cover - sometimes you'll see six or seven publishers mentioned. At the beginning of the 20th Century, the Music Publishers often signed contracts with a 90/10 split in their favour. Towards the end of the last century, the split was more commonly 50/50.But the times, they are a-changin'...
